There was a talk by Thomas Roth at the Defcon 11 conference about moving brute-force attacks into the cloud. You can find the presentation here and the whitepaper here. There is a tool called “Cloud Cracking Suite” announced in the paper to manage Pyrit (among others) in Amazon’s EC2-cloud. It should already be online here.
